PICTURE THIS!! “Splat! Snaps”

Radio imagers love radio imaging. We’ve all heard a million production demos, listened to production podcasts, followed the tweets, read the posts and have seen countless screen shots of big Pro Tools sessions shared in social media. Fun stuff, right?  But what about the cool every day things?  You know, the items we take for granted like a comfortable studio chair, a favorite mug, or weird promotional items which adorn your walls.  These are the things that make our studios feel like home.  So we at Splat! thought it would be interesting to share periodic posts and pictures which take you inside the studios (and minds) of some of radio’s creative production geniuses.

First up:  Tony “the Shoes” Maddox, Imaging Director for Philadelphia powerhouses WMMR and WMGK. Here are a few random snapshots from inside Tony’s production studio.  Our favorite of course shows the collection of random toys, because aren’t we all kids at heart?

Here’s what Tony has to say about that photo: “These are my studio pals–no joke, I talk to them occasionally, and while they have yet to respond, I’m sure that one day they eventually will.  Funny things start happening when you’re in a windowless studio for years and years.”

And a few more for good measure!
