The radio broadcast was in MY headphones, too!

So what’s better than week #1 of the NFL season?  Week #2, of course.  Sports radio does an amazing job of forecasting, covering & recapping all the action.  The middle of the week is the transition, a delicate balance between the old and the new.  It’s always fun to hear the seamless transition from one point to the next, always exciting and always interesting.

So, since it’s midweek here’s a sample promo of recapping the action and looking forward to next.  The predictions soon follow!

Getting Animated (and obscure) With Splat!

Splatman! has something to say.

Labor Day is still fresh in our memories, but the stores are already breaking out the Christmas and holiday displays.  Will it be that much longer before we start hearing Christmas songs on the radio?

Somewhere between the last blast of summer and the first thoughts of snowflakes a little something gets lost, the subtleties of the seasons are under- appreciated and some holidays get ignored completely!

But don’t worry, that’s why we’re here.  Splat! has your back for even the little things…like National Comic book Day! Seriously.  It exists.  Sept. 25th is the day.  So we’ve prepared a fun little promo for our animated friends.

Hot Hits from a HOT Summer!

As we head in to Labor Day weekend it’s time to start the party, crank up the hits and squeeze every last drop of fun out of summer.  But even when Tuesday morning rolls around we won’t let that slow down the excitement.  It might start getting colder, but the hits are still hot…witness some stylin’ hit music mix promos from Splat!

Upbeat, energetic, fun & a little rowdy. OK, a lot rowdy!

The only folks around who know how to have more fun than country artists…are country listeners!  Kickin’ back, poppin’ a cold one and hangin’ with friends this Labor Day weekend you know the country tunes will be rocking on country stations.  And country radio listeners set the mood for your station…here’s a Country Splat! listener sweep.

What’s with the random number? It’s not a secret code or reference to anything biblical, scientific, catastrophic or even nonsensical.  It’s just a random length of some random audio manipulation…or production fx if you will.

We picked out six Splat! sounds we were messing with and mashed them together.  So please enjoy this rapid fire barrage…21.237 seconds of sound design courtesy of Splat!

#BACKTOSCHOOL = #Nooooo!

Most students are either back in school, getting ready to go back to school, or are so totally dreading the end of summer that they’re in denial and fail to acknowledge that school even exists!

Splat! makes back to school fun for our listeners, whether students or parents.  Here are a few samples from different ends of the radio spectrum…Country and Urban.

No really, say what you mean!

Talk Splat!
Talk Splat!

It’s usually the most vocal listeners who call a radio station to voice their opinions.  Sometime it’s even more entertaining than the host’s comments.  Listener comments on elections, and certainly candidates, always make for great radio…and great radio production.  Here at Splat! we’re neutral, but this Talk Splat! sample features some listeners who aren’t exactly major fans of The Donald.

A Commercial about being “commercial free!”

Splatman! has something to say.

In radio, we all know there is a big difference between a “promo” and a “commercial.”  While a radio promo is heard by many listeners to be a “commercial for the radio station,” radio people see this differently:

Commercial = Paid Advertiser Announcement

Promo = Some highly produced or prerecorded announcement about the radio station, either serious, fun or both.

Either way, we really do appreciate the irony of a “commercial” announcing that we are “not playing commercials.”
