It’s been attributed to Confucius, but also to Buckaroo Banzai.
That famous quote, “No matter where you go, there you are.” And, wherever you are, you can stream your favorite radio station, right? Dig it. Promote it.

It’s usually the most vocal listeners who call a radio station to voice their opinions. Sometime it’s even more entertaining than the host’s comments. Listener comments on elections, and certainly candidates, always make for great radio…and great radio production. Here at Splat! we’re neutral, but this Talk Splat! sample features some listeners who aren’t exactly major fans of The Donald.
August 24, 2015 A Commercial about being “commercial free!”
In radio, we all know there is a big difference between a “promo” and a “commercial.” While a radio promo is heard by many listeners to be a “commercial for the radio station,” radio people see this differently:
Commercial = Paid Advertiser Announcement
Promo = Some highly produced or prerecorded announcement about the radio station, either serious, fun or both.
Either way, we really do appreciate the irony of a “commercial” announcing that we are “not playing commercials.”
